Hayner’s
Creek Cottage on Savannah’s Southside is a 1950s
two story home, gutted, remodeled and retrofitted into
a rent-by-the-week vacation cottage just outside of town
and not very far from everything!
Fronted by a white picket fence, it’s perched on
the marshes of Hayner’s Creek, a few miles from
the Intracoastal Waterway, and with water for 4 or 5 hours
at high tide.
There’s a marsh front swing and a porch spring,
lounge chairs and play equipment, all designed for a leisurely
week in Savannah.
And the décor is bright and cheerful jewel toned
pastels, each wall a different color, a happy, comfortable,
relaxing home-away-from-home. Individual rooms—there
are three bedrooms, one and a half baths (plus an outside
shower!)--are individually themed, with their own stories
to tell.
And if business calls for a week-long stay, what could
be better than your own home that could sleep 10, or more,
“with discussion”.
Add
the fully equipped gourmet kitchen (the cottage is owned
by the proprietors of two outstanding and popular Savannah
restaurants—Toucan and Sweet Potatoes.) With central
heat and air and Internet access, Hayner’s Creek
Cottage also includes all linens, washer and dryer, cable
television, free long distance and, a fully stocked library—all
the comforts of home and more.
