Located less than 7 miles from the acclaimed historic downtown section of Savannah and the accoutrements of city life, just 20 miles from the Atlantic Ocean’s Tybee beach, Hayner’s Creek Cottage is a hidden oasis, available from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 3 p.m., with check-out at 10 a.m.

Not far away is Lake Mayer, with its recreational facilities and mile-and-a-half jogging/bicycling track, tennis courts and swimming pool. The Aquatic Center is close by, as well as golf courses and the Isle of Hope Marina, on the Intracoastal Waterway. Shopping malls and movie theaters are as close as 5 minutes away.
